Keep the previews of Don Miguel Ruiz with you wherever you go! Author Don Miguel Ruiz was born into a family of healers. He grew up in rural Mexico with a mother from Kurandera (healer) and a grated grandfather (shaman). The family expected Don Miguel to accept his legacy of healing and teaching and continue as a grumbler his esoteric knowledge of Toltec. Instead, distracted from modern life, Don Miguel decided to go to a medical school and became a surgeon. He began teaching in the United States in 1987 with his mother Sarita in Logan Heights, CA.

Growing up his knowledge of English, he realized that he preferred to share his parentage through an oral tradition rather than a healing tradition.
